Hopeful Nation initiated its efforts on a global scale to help those in need of clean water back in 2012 and we’ve been working towards its mission since its inception. We’ve established partnerships with organizations worldwide to collaborate on projects funded by corporations, foundations, and individuals from various countries. To date, our initiatives have positively impacted many people across the globe by providing access to clean water and improved sanitation solutions.
Helping bring water, sanitation, and hygiene to communities all over the globe
Hopeful Nation repairs and installs community water systems and handpumps. Many existing water points break down due to neglect, but we fix this by training water user committees and using a network of mobile mechanics. We also work with local committees to ensure ongoing system operation and maintenance.
We improve sanitation and water services while teaching students good hygiene practices. We ensure that all school facilities, that we assist, have private changing rooms for girls during their menstrual cycles and educate teenage girls through menstrual hygiene training.
We are committed to improving sanitation, but at times, we face challenges within our capabilities due to governing laws and restrictions. We address this by innovating and developing new sanitation solutions. We support local sanitation entrepreneurs with loans and training. Additionally, we partner with local microfinance institutions to provide bathroom investment loans.
